Kathy grew up listening to the sounds of country music.  Her Father gave her a guitar at age 13, since then she has played at churches, campfires, farmers markets and anyplace that will let her.  Her passion for bluegrass ignited after seeing "Oh Brother Where Art Thou?”  Something about the music in this movie, as she would say, "touched her soul".

Since becoming involved with the bluegrass community, Kathy has attended several jams and festivals, feeling blessed by the family-like atmosphere.  In 2008, Kathy started the bi-monthly bluegrass jam in Sturtevant, WI.  The jam is still thriving and Kathy continues as host with the support of rest of KR Bluegrass.

When she isn’t working her day job as a Mechanical Drafter, she is busy keeping up with her teenage daughter. Kathy is married 30 years to Robert Dahl, they have three children, and three grandchildren.
